AZIMVTH Ashram is a retreat and escape in the foothills of Himalayas, India. It is a residency for individuals, couples, and groups who want to come away or together and stay for about a month and experiment, learn, and share anything dear to them.

Though persons with any kind of interests are welcome, broadly speaking there are two kinds of programmes at the AZIMVTH Ashram.

AZIMVTH Ashram is a small two sides open place – Ganges is about 100 metres on one side and Rajaji forest reserve on the other. It is on the same side of Ganges as Har-Ki-Paidi one of the most auspicious places which is about 5 km away.

AZIMVTH Ashram is located in a residential area called ‘Arya Nagar’. It is part of a cluster of Arya Samaj, a century old reformist Hindu movement, organisations. Within 500 metres of the ashram other bodies are – Mahila Arya Samaj Mandir (a temple for ladies where they perform Homa (or Havan or Yajna) to fire and sing bhajans and prayers, Arya Vanprastha Sannyas Ashram (a community of individuals who have retired from and renounced family lives), and Arya bathing and meditating ghat (where one can step down in Ganges).

Besides these, within 500 metres of AZIMVTH Ashram, there are other organisations as well, for example – Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Nagari Pracharini Sabha (agency for promotion of Hindi language), Patanjali Ashram.

All of these are large campuses and largely off-the-grid.
