There is a locality, about 2 km. away from AZIMVTH, that has over twenty retailers of pottery products. These are made locally with the clay found in abundance. Potter’s wheel is used to give shapes and make-shift kilns bake them.

Earthen lamps are made commonly and sold round the year. Various other utility products like pumice-stone, containers etc are in regular production too.

There are many seasonal designs. During festivals, kind of make-do clay lanterns, figures are made. When the summer time approaches various designs of ghada, Kumbha the pitcher, surahi etc. (shown in the banner above) are made. These are used to contain water which becomes cool due to evaporation. More clay ovens, the tandoor, are made in winter. And so on.
