“I have been taking breathing and meditation sessions from Tarun Kumar for past two weeks. Its been great. He puts in so much efforts to find out what will work best. He asks how the day went to figure out what changes he should bring in the practice to help me. Most important very easy to talk to and emphasizes I should be doing these exercises myself and not depend on him. This is something rare to find. Its been a blessing…”

COVID-19 RESPONSE

The virtual online project ‘Breath-work and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)’ is a Covid-19 Response by AZIMVTH. To know more about other virtual programmes, please see here.

A meditation of breath-work involves a series of Yogic pranayama practices combined with positive thinking culminating in a resolve for good-health.

There are about two dozen Yogic breathing practices in the Yoga tradition and there are many combinations of these as well. Two of these — nadi shodhan and udgita  more relevant to calming nerves. The practice of anulom-vilom is useful too. However, some processes, like bhramari and bhastrika need to be taken up with caution. More details on the various meditation techniques being practiced at AZIMVTH are available here.
